Achille was conceived as a study in balance. Two slender elements meet in a controlled composition, turning a simple geometric gesture into a warm and sculptural presence.
Achille emerged from an exploration of tension and proportion: two essential lines, one vertical and one inclined, reduced to the point where structure and light become the same gesture.
Early studies focused on the exact point of contact between the two elements, where balance, proportion and stability had to resolve into a single visual gesture.

Achille is built from two slender elements arranged in a precise geometric relationship. The inclined line gives the piece its tension, while the horizontal base anchors the composition and keeps the silhouette visually light.
Achille emits a soft warm light that defines the composition without overpowering it. The illumination remains intimate and controlled, creating atmosphere while preserving the clarity of the form.

Achille takes shape through a sequence of measured cuts, temporary jigs and careful alignment. Each element is positioned and tested by hand until the final balance between structure, proportion and light is resolved.
Each Tratto Table Lamp is individually numbered and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, recording the piece, finish and production details as part of the CristofaroLuce archive.
Achille is available in a selection of matte sandblasted finishes, chosen to preserve the clarity of its geometry while giving each piece a distinct presence. Colour is treated as part of the composition, not as decoration.
